Geddes Ulinskas / Principal
Geddes Ulinskas is the founding principal of Geddes Ulinskas Architects, bringing over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial design. Originally drawn to a career as a commercial artist and illustrator, he turned to architecture after receiving a full merit-based scholarship to the Architecture Program at Pratt Institute. He seamlessly integrates art and architecture, often creating expressive watercolor renderings that capture the spirit of his designs. Geddes has a deep appreciation for both modern and traditional home design, blending these influences to create timeless, thoughtful spaces.
Before founding his firm in 2004, Geddes worked with internationally recognized architects including Ricardo Legorretaand Fumihiko Maki. As principal, he leads a multicultural team in designing and executing projects with a strong focus on craftsmanship, materials, and architectural detail.
Passionate about the arts, Geddes creates watercolor paintings, sculpture, and wood carvings. His work was featured at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase in 2023, and his artistic vision is also reflected in the interior design of the firm’s San Francisco office. He serves as a board member on the Historic Resource Board, contributing his expertise to preserving the architectural heritage of the City of Palo Alto.
Geddes’s projects span the Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York City, and Hawaii, showcasing a commitment to thoughtful design, material integrity, and the seamless integration of art and architecture.
